Amaro Sibilla Distilleria Varnelli
Elegant liquor tied to the history and ancient ways of the territory from which it takes its name, Amato Sibilla was invented in 1868 by Girolamo Varnelli, thanks to his greats knowledge in herbs. The aim was that to create a product that could work as a “remedy” for the shepherds engaged in the transhumance, to warm them during the cold nights out. Still today this liquor is made following the original recipe, made on gentian wood fire and other herbs. It is sweetened only with honey that originates from the Sibillini Mounts, to then be refined an filtered with a canvas, right before being bottled up.
