Created in 1952, Cynar is obtained from the infusion of 13 different types of herbs and plants, amongst which cinaria, extracted from artichokes and famous for its elevated digestive qualities. It is a product rich in parfumes and with a contained alcohol percentage, rendering this liquor accessible to a vast range of consumers; a product that, as the famous tv advert went, is “against the strain of modern life”. Genuine and friendly, this liquor is perfect after meals, to be served dry or with ice. To give it a more charming look, it can be mixed with tonic water or consumed with a sprinkle of sletz, in a cold glass and maybe a slice of orange.
