Born from a fragrant encounter between Jamaican coffee blends, rum, sugar and vanilla, Tia Maria is probably the most famous coffee liquor world wide! The legends traces the origin of its name back to 1700 when a Spanish girl, forced to flee Jamaica during a conflict and accompanied by a servant who carried with him some gold and the ancient family recipe of a liquor. To thank the women who saved her life, she gave the liquor her name. Thanks to its moderate alcohol percentage (26,5%) and the fragrant coffee taste, Tia Maria is perfect for the consumption after a meal, served dry with some ice, or for the preparation of cocktails, desserts and ice cream.
