Passoã The Passion Drink
The Passion Fruit, also named Maracuja, is a fruit of the Passiflora Edulis, a plant that originates from the tropics and South America. Its name was given by the Jesuit missionaries who, around 1600 colonised the surrounding lands and found that this plant had a similarity to some religious symbols of Christ’s passion both in its branches and flowers. From this juicy and exotic fruit, and with the help of Cointreau, in 1985 Passoã is born, a delicious and fragrant liquor, versatile and with a low alcohol percentage.
